Best Solar is an independent editorial buyer guide on bestsolar.com.au. We write for people choosing a rooftop system in Australia: how the hardware works, how STCs appear on an invoice, how to read a quote, and how panels are fixed to tin, tile, and flat roofs.
The homepage question is the one we keep answering: how do Australians choose a rooftop solar system in 2026? The answer is not a banner price. It is a chain — modules, mounting, inverter, switchboard, retailer plan — plus paperwork you can check.
We are part of the WWB content fleet. We are not an energy retailer, installer network, financier, or manufacturer. We do not take installer advertising in exchange for a ranking.
What this site is not
The domain previously hosted a 2013 MetInfo catalogue titled “Best Solar Mount Systems,” operated in that era by Sydney Ankors Pty Ltd (historic telephone listing 02-96825011). That brochure listed tin, tile, flat, pole, and ground mounts, clamps, rails, and packages.
This rebuild preserves those topics and 301s the old product URLs. It does not claim to be Sydney Ankors, and it does not sell those SKUs. If you have a 2013 invoice from that business, this website cannot honour it.
We also do not rebuild post-2018 tracker shells, Microsoft.XMLHTTP noise paths, or empty parking pages. Those are retired (410) or ignored.

Independence
