Your Distribution Network Service Provider can cap how many kilowatts you export. That cap is a connection condition, not a product fault. It is commissioned into the inverter. A quote that assumes unlimited export on a constrained feeder is incomplete.

In South Australia: SA Power Networks. In Western Australia’s south-west: Western Power. Tasmania: TasNetworks. ACT: Evoenergy. Northern Territory: Power and Water.
Those businesses publish connection information that changes as suburbs fill with rooftop PV. South Australian feeders taught the country this lesson early; urban networks elsewhere have been catching up.
Why it shows up on the quote
